#AceFinanceNews – Oct.18: The New York Federal Reserve’s gauge of manufacturing activity in the region fell in October.

The gauge fell to a negative reading of 6.8 from a negative reading of 1.99 in September.

Wall Street had anticipated an increase to a positive 1.00. Readings above 0 point to expansion, while those below indicate contraction.
